Now that you mention it....

....between "The U" and Georgetown Basketball, these were most likely the only teams that Black '80s Babies weren't rooting for!

Tale of the Tape

In this corner... We have Simon Adebisi hailing from Nigeria and serving a life sentence(No chance for parole) in Oswald Prison....

VERSUS

And in the other corner, we have Omar Little hailing from Baltimore, MD. He says that his occupation is "I robs drug dealers"...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The "Oz" fan and "The Wire" superfan in me would probably want to see a "Deadliest Warrior" like battle between these two fictional boogey men. Adebisi with his short-range weapon "The Prison Shank", his ability to battle in closed quarters honed by his time in Oz, and his mental cunning. Versus Omar with his short range weapon, the .38 Special, along with his brilliance in urban warfare(Baltimore's East Side), and his military tactician skills cultivated from robbing drug dealers like The Barksdales. Oh, this would be a great idea to pitch to Spike TV for Season 3!!!!!

But, the X-Factor in deciding who will win between these 2 guys....they just might start feeling each other with that "Thug Love"!!!!!

So, who's next to walk down to the alter?

Congratulations, Joe and Dionne!!!!

That leaves myself, Mike B, Jeff, Will, and Roger as the last single fellas. Let's go ahead and get the pool started to see who will be the next one to jump the broom.

I have Mike B as the Darkhorse....

At small forward...from the University of Central Arkansas....

CONGRATULATIONS for going into the Naismith Hall of Fame!!!!!
J.A. Adande has a great write-up on Pip here which, in my opinion, makes him out to be the patron saint of Beta Personality fellas, worldwide.

Then again, we are all 2nd tier habitants when paired with the likes of Michael Jordan...

Old school Howard University football pic

I found this photo in the Time Life archives that's now on the Google website. The pix that they have of the school during the 1930s and 1940s are really interesting to look at when you have some free time. Just type "Howard University" in the search field....

Since Larry Fishburne missed this PSA

Yeah, if your daughter decides to do porno flicks with Brian Pumper giving industry advice, you might want to have a conversation between you, your daughter, and her mother ASAP. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, that he did seperate from her mother and then got all of work in Hollywood that stymied the amount of quality family time. BUT, we are all wondering what the fuck happened!

I hope is too!

Jack Tatum RIP

According to ESPN, Jack Tatum, one of the most intimidating DBs and an iconic Oakland Raider, has passed away due to a heart attack. He was 61.

I never saw Tatum play. Just before my time. But coming up as a football player and fan, he was one of those players that older fans made sure that you knew of. Like Jim Brown, Earl Campbell, and Deacon Jones. The legends told of them and their exploits on the field would create the folk tales of my youth and subsequent indoctrination into the game. "The Assassin" was known for some of the most punishing hits in the 1970s for the Oakland Raiders. Him, George Atkinson, Willie Brown, and Skip Thomas formed one of the most talented secondaries and were known as "The Soul Patrol" which won Super Bowl XI against the Vikings.

Losses like these, I call some oldheads and talk to them, sharing the news and trying to hear their stories about how Tatum would make a bitch out of Lynn Swann.

My bitch owns ketchup

Earthquake has always been one my favorite comedians. Yet, he's stayed under the radar and not in sight of the mainstream. I liked that he had a guest starring role on "Everybody Hates Chris". What he said in just these 10 minutes of this video are hilarious in a way that if I had been drunk while hearing him talk this much shit, I would have thrown up!
